Saweetie and Quavo made headlines this week when a 2020 video of a physical altercation between the pair made its way online.
The former lovers had already been hot on the lips of many after the ‘Tap In’ femcee confirmed that they had split. She notably made mention of “hurt and betrayal”
Now, after a brief period of silence, Saweetie has responded to the shocking scenes shown in the video.
Her words below…
“This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, while we have reconciled since then and moved past this particular disagreement, there were simply too many other hurdles to overcome in our relationship and we have both since moved on.” [Source]

That statement means that she was the aggressor because she could have played the “helpless Black female victim abused by bad Black man” so that woke Twitter could eat Quavo alive. At least, she didn’t cap making Quavo more of the bad guy.
Really didn’t need to give an explanation. The tape was supposedly leaked and y’all are no longer together. Move on personally and professionally, keep your business your business and your music the GP business.
